Today’s post comes with a warning: the following information is very likely to suck up any free time you had left after phafffing about on Facebook and favouriting on Etsy… read on at your own risk .
Ok then, if you are sure….
Welcome to your new vice.
Pinterest is, in their own words:
A place to catalog the things you love
Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and “follow” collections created by people with great taste.
People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things — wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it.
We know you have great taste in something. Our mission is to make Pinterest the best place for you to share your taste with the world.
Imagine that your Etsy Favourites and Facebook had too much wine one night and got friendly – Pinterest is the result. An endless cavalcade of linked images ‘pinned’ by members, this is timewasting dressed up beautifully as creative research.
You can join up via your Facebook account if you want to get ‘pinning’, or simply browse as a lurker and follow the links on your own adventure. Pins have been categorised if you want to look through a specific theme, but we love the little rush of hitting the home page and seeing what pops up.
Make yourself a cuppa and a sandwich, and ask someone to forcibly shut down your computer in no more than 4 hours. Ok, now you are ready – get Pinning!
